Phylliss Darlene (Bitker) Rosendahl Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Phylliss Darlene (Bitker) Rosendahl, 89,of Mason City, IA, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Nora Springs Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am Saturday August 6, 2022 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA, with Pastor Jeni Bohls officiating. Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA. Phylliss was born on June 24, 1933, the daughter of LeRoy and Goldie (Pitkin) Bitker of Ventura, IA. Growing up she was the oldest of seven siblings. She was a graduate of Ventura High School. On August 20, 1950, Phylliss married Marvin Rosendahl, from this marriage four children were born. She spent her life as a homemaker and helping her husband as an accountant for their trucking company. In her free time she loved gardening flowers. She was a woman of many talents, being able to sew clothing, crochet, knitting and crafting. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Phylliss had many dogs throughout the years and loved them dearly. Those left to cherish memories of Phylliss are her children, Steven (Kathy) Rosendahl, Joyce (Howard) Hackbart, Mark (Gloria) Rosendahl, and Lisa (Pete) Paulsen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Loren Bitker and Sharon Kramer; as well as many extended family members and friends. Phylliss is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents; siblings, Duwayne (Neva) Bitker, Larry (Dorothy) Bitker, Don Bitker, Doug Bitker ; and a grandson, James Olson, and great-grandson, Bennet Calhoun. The family would like to thank the staff at the Nora Springs Care Center for their wonderful care throughout the years and difficult time.
