Cody Allen Keeney Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Fertile- Cody Allen Keeney 33, died Friday, July 22, 2022, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27th, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st. Ave. North, Clear Lake, IA 50428. Cody’s funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28th, 2022; with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. A private family graveside service will take place at the Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake, Iowa. Cody Allen Keeney was born June 16, 1989, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Curtis Keeney and Becky Palmer. Cody graduated from Clear Lake High School in the class of 2008. After graduation he worked for Dean Snyder Construction as a concrete finisher. Cody had a love for the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and camp-fires. He loved listening to country music, especially George Strait! Cody enjoyed following sports; his favorite team was the Chicago Bears. Cody enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; he was so easily loved and fun to be around; he will be remembered as the “Life of the Party”, with his great sense of humor. Cody was a pain in the ass in such a good way! Cody is survived by his parents Curtis (Misti) Keeney; siblings Alexis King, Ashley (Brandon) Holt, Danny King, Dustin King (Brittany O’Donnell); Grandparents Kris Willis, Glen Palmer, Dick (Fran) Miltenberger, Sonni (Mike) Bergan; nieces and nephews Daxtyn, Bradyn, Chloee, Bayley, Carter, Auston, Colson and Ensley; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Cody is preceded in death by his mother Becky Palmer, sister Whitney Keeney, grandparents Janice (Robert) Sheldon and Jerry Keeney.
