Candace (Candy) Jo Putzstuck

June 2, 1950 - May 27, 2022

Candace (Candy) Jo Putzstuck June 2,1950-May 27,2022 Candy Putzstuck,71, passed away at Hospice in Mason City, Iowa. There will be a private ceremony at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Candy through her daughter, Darci Miller, 435 Forest Ave, Forest City, Iowa 50436. Online condolences may be left for the family at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel 126 3rd St NE Mason City 641-423-2372 ColonialChapels.com. Candy was born in Mason City Iowa to Ernie and Dixie (St. Peter) Hudson. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1968. She was married to Arlin Putzstuck. They had one daughter Darci Renee. For the past 36 years Candy and her special friend John Fox built a life together, until his death. Candy and her daughter, Darci had a special bond. When the grandchildren arrived that deepened their commitment to each other. Candy loved being Grandma. She would play any game at any time with them and would feed them ice cream any time of the day. They could always be found around a blazing fire in the back yard, laughing and telling stories, usually about each other. Candy had a lot of jobs throughout her life but settled nicely at Winnebago in Stichcraft for 15+ years where she happily retired in June of 2018. She gathered many friends throughout her years with us and anyone that met Candy knew she had a big heart and loved to have fun. She was a very kind and caring person. Quick with a laugh, and witty. Not afraid to voice her opinion, but still not hurting your feelings. She would help any of her friends at any time and they would help her too. Her friends became like family. She is survived by her daughter Darci (Putzstuck) Miller and fiancé Josh Beier, Forest City, IA; sister, Penny (Steve) Loers, Clear Lake, Iowa; brother Denny (Vicky) Hudson, Clear Lake Iowa; and brother Kurt (Laura) Hudson, Indianola Iowa. Many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Also, other extended family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all.
